You Deserve a Break - Fall Travel in 2021

The Trip We Were Dreaming About

I can't believe that it has been almost two years since my husband and I went on our dream vacation. He planned it for almost a year, and it was indeed an amazing trip. We went to Israel and Greece - Athens, Santorini and Meteora.   I knew nothing about Meteora, and it is so worth it! Highly recommend you visit it.  It is a gorgeous train ride from Athens.

The Meteora is a rock formation in central Greece hosting one of the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, second in importance only to Mount Athos. The six monasteries are built on immense natural pillars and hill-like rounded boulders that dominate the local area. FUN FACT: that is where the James Bond Movie 'For Your Eyes Only' was filmed in 1981, 'The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles' and more recently, 'Game of Thrones'.

In this blog post I won't go into the details of the 2020 - 2021 Odyssey. We have covered a lot about the pandemic, including our own safety measures during that time, and our donations to many organizations that were (and still are) taking care of our communities.

As the world starts a new phase, people are starting to travel. And the holidays are upon us.  And many of us are looking forward to traveling again.

Are You Planning to Travel This Fall?

My guess is that most of you are itching to travel again. Whether to visit family and friends on the holidays or traveling somewhere on vacation, you deserve a break.

I will also take a wild guess that your choice includes a resort, beaches or some dreamy pool to sit and relax with a book and a cocktail.

Another fact/ detour: I used to think that the best time to travel to Alaska would be Fall and Winter.  I know, it's funny but you have to forgive me. I am from Brazil. I never saw snow until I moved to the U.S. at the age of 24.   Luckily my husband is a pro and a few years ago he planned another awesome trip to Alaska in June. Perfect timing. And yes, you can wear swimsuits in Alaska (sorry, I didn't know!!!!). The sun would 'set' at 2AM and 'rise' at 4AM. Seriously. That was wild.

Back to Fall 2021..... wherever you go this season, we got you covered!  From Fall colors to cover-ups and accessories, Sauipe will go with you anywhere. Really. I can't wait. I need a break!
