We’re only a few months into the year, and already we’re starting to see what 2018 swimwear trends will be laying out at the beach this summer.
Straps, front-ties, high-cut bottoms - there are lots of new, exciting swimwear trends on the runways and racks this spring.
Here are the top trends we see this year.
Don’t forget to strap in before you drive to the beach this summer.
Whether it’s belts tied at the waist or straps down the back, 2018’s hottest swim trend cinches you in at the waist and gives you the curvy, hourglass figure you’ve always wanted.

Ruffles were a huge trend last year, and they’re back with a bounce this year.
Swimsuits with ruffles have an uber-feminine look that pairs perfectly with wavy, beachy hair. Choose a ruffled swimsuit in a classic, romantic hue for a super dreamy look.

3. Sporty Looks
If you’re not the type of girl to lay out at the beach and let everyone else have all the fun, the sporty swimwear trend is for you.
2018’s sporty swimsuits aren’t at all like the basic one-pieces you remember wearing in swim class. They’re updated with fresh, modern cuts and colors. Today’s sporty swimsuits are just as chic as they are functional.

You didn’t put in all that work at barre class to sit on a towel at the beach all covered up.
Cheeky bottoms are showing up all over our Instagram feeds. Show off your backside - and your personal style - by investing in a cheeky bikini bottom.

90s fashion is making a comeback: overalls, front tied tees, slip dresses, and, yes, swimwear.
Don’t get left out of this throwback trend. Update your swim wardrobe with a classic suit with a front-tie. The simple twist or knot at the front will pull everything together in all the right places.

6. Skin Showing One-Pieces
We aren’t talking about your mother’s one-pieces.
This year’s one piece trend is all about cutouts and showing just-the-right-amount of skin. Scoop backs, side-cut out monokinis, and deep-v’s will all be making appearances at your favorite pool party this summer.

7. Crop Top Swimsuits
Long, 3/4, and no sleeves - crop tops are one of the biggest trends in women’s swimwear this year.
Look for tops with exciting cutouts or colors to add dimension to the look and standout at the beach. This is a great trend to take from the beach to night, too. Wear your favorite crop top swim top with a pair of shorts, and you’re good to go.
